Wednesday Preview and Prediction: BWE-GBP, PHX-MER

(c) PBA Media Bureau

I am disappointed with my current performance so I went a little deeper with my choices for the games this Wednesday.

BWE-GBP
Globalport wants to continue his rampage this season with a game against the young but very dangerous Blackwater. Globalport is still the hardest puzzle to solve in the league but if the young core of the Elite will continue to mature, they will have a good chance here.

Prediction
Using the TSA, two things standout. Blackwater is a team who secure their possessions and force ample of turnovers. Globalport's defense is not that aggressive, which will mean better flow for the Elite.

On the other hand, Globalport has the better bench. That bench advantage is enough for me to choose Batang Pier. The starting five of the Elite is not yet that consistent so with a better bench, Globalport should be able to leverage any upheavals by Blackwater.

PHX-MER
Phoenix were dismantled and humiliated in their past two games. They will try to get back on track against a team that is also coming of a loss. I am excited to see if the frontline of Phoenix will answer the call of their coach against the energetic but not that elite bigmen of the Bolts.

Prediction
Meralco is good in starting and finishing games. On the other hand, Phoenix have troubles on the penultimate quarter. Meralco will also have a good advantage inside. Meralco is the least fan of the three-point shooting but they maintain efficiency.

Phoenix has the ability to burst and force themselves to a victory but Meralco has never let one to breakout. So, overall, I am going with Meralco,

My Record: 16-13
